The success of any implementation lies with the school principal and/or vice-principal actively supporting the work of the teachers. This network will provide leaders with both the principles of NAP and concrete ways to ensure timely and quality implementation at the classroom levels.

Principals will understand the basic principles of the Numeracy Achievement Program and how they translate at any grade level. Principals will explore how their role might positively impact teacher practice and in turn student learning. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in rich collaborative discussions with their colleagues and learn “with and from” each other.

 

Further topics for consideration will be co-constructed with principals to best reflect the needs of the network participants.
